My name is Mr Wilkin and I live in Hove with my wife and young daughter. I am a self-confessed Sociology nerd, having studied the subject at GCSE, A-level and then a BSc degree at the University of Portsmouth followed by a PGCE at the University of Brighton. As well as teaching Sociology, I am an examiner, I contribute to textbooks and I also run a successful Sociology podcast where I have been lucky enough to interview some of the finest theorists in the subject. I have been lucky enough to teach the subject across several colleges in the south of England but also in Kenya and Spain too. Outside of teaching I have a passion for travel; I have visited over 90 countries and recently completed visiting every country in Europe. I also love playing and watching sport, I have a season ticket for Brighton and Hove Albion and watch them most weeks up and down the country. 

With over 10 years of experience in business support, I bring a comprehensive understanding of finance, business administration, HR, and compliance to my role here at the school. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong foundation in streamlining operations and supporting teams to work at their best.

I’m passionate about bringing organisation, efficiency, and a positive attitude to everything I do. When I’m not helping keep our school running smoothly, you’ll find me exploring the countryside, spending time with animals, or planning my next travel adventure. I’m also a big Liverpool FC supporter and enjoy watching the games at the weekend with friends and family.

Hello, my name is Dr Ashley Hudspith, and I am from Woking, Surrey. I completed my undergraduate degree in Criminology and Social Policy at the University of Brighton while working in the psychiatric unit of a men’s secure institution in Surrey. During this time, one of my former teachers encouraged me to consider a career in education, and I quickly discovered a genuine passion for teaching and learning.

I went on to gain a distinction in my PGCE in Psychology at the University of Sussex, while also completing a Master’s in Educational Studies. In 2025, I was awarded my doctorate in Education from the University of Bath. My research focused on teacher education and research methods, with my thesis exploring the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on early career teachers through Q-methodology.

Over the years, I have taught Psychology and Sociology, as well as Religious Education, Maths, English, and Citizenship. I have also held a range of leadership roles, including Head of Department and whole-school responsibility for disadvantaged pupils, as well as serving as the Psychology subject specialist for teacher training with the Kent and Medway Trust.

Since 2020, I have specialised in online tuition, teaching students worldwide. Prior to joining CHS, I worked with Ukrainian refugees and supported Chinese students preparing for entry into top UK universities.

Outside of teaching, I absolutely love going to the theatre (my favourite show is Les Misérables) and I previously trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.

My name is Mr Boylan and I am the Deputy Headteacher at Cambridge Home School as well as a teacher of Business and Economics. I have over 15 years of experience working in schools in a range of positions. I have been Head of Department, Head of Year, Head of Sixth Form, Head of Admissions, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Assistant Headteacher and Deputy Head Teacher. Having spent most of my working life in London, I have moved to the countryside in recent years to enjoy the peace and quiet and to take advantage of all the amazing things rural life has to offer.  

I am passionate about all things in education and always have a strong desire to ensure all pupils are able to reach their full potential. As well as my roles within school, I have volunteered on the Harrow Safeguarding Children’s Board for over 3 years, helping to frame the safeguarding provision for the local authority.  

Outside of education, I am an avid Manchester United fan as well as a keen supporter of Gaelic Football. I love the excitement of live sport, and go to as many live events as possible. I also enjoy time with family and friends, and of course walking the dog.

My name is Elaine Teale, and I am delighted to be the Headteacher of Cambridge Home School Online. It is a privilege to lead such an inspiring school community. Our students are truly global citizens, bringing with them a rich diversity of cultures and perspectives that enliven our curriculum, assemblies and extracurricular programme. Working alongside these aspirational young people, and a highly committed and expert staff team, is immensely rewarding. 

I bring over 30 years of experience in teaching and school leadership, both in the UK and internationally. My background is in Biology and Science, and I have taught across GCSE, iGCSE, A level and International Baccalaureate programmes, as well as serving as an IB Examiner. During my career, I have worked in a number of highly regarded schools including Dulwich College in London, Latymer Upper School, Trinity School in Croydon, The United World College of South East Asia in Singapore, and Bedford Girls’ School. 

My roles have ranged from classroom teacher to Head of Department, Faculty Leader, Deputy Head and Head of Senior School. At the heart of everything I do is a clear commitment to helping young people grow academically, socially and emotionally. Having also led the Senior School in a large online setting, I have a deep understanding of how students can flourish, feel supported and succeed within high‑quality remote education. 

My academic journey began with a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter, followed by a PGCE and later an MSc in Learning and Teaching from the University of Oxford. Teaching abroad in Mexico and Singapore has further enriched my perspective, allowing me to work with students from a wide range of backgrounds and learning needs. I firmly believe that outstanding teaching, combined with excellent pastoral care, enables every student to achieve their very best. 

I live close to Cambridge in the UK with my two secondary age children. Any spare time is spent playing tennis, squash, (in fact, anything with a bat and ball!) swimming and walking as well as trying to grow vegetables and flowers on my allotment. 

Hello, I’m Dr. Page and I am the Founder and first Headmaster of Cambridge Home School Online. I have been in education most of my life both as a student and a teacher. I am educated to Doctorate level having had my Doctoral thesis in education examined and passed by Professor Richard Hickman of Cambridge University.

I am passionate about education and the transformative positive effects it has on peoples’ lives and societies. I founded Cambridge Home School Online out of an understanding that technology has the power to offer bright motivated academic goal-driven students a higher level of education and outcomes. After teaching and leading teams in a variety of educational settings including state schools and colleges and having undertaken significant educational research, I am well aware of the limitations of an education system that has barely changed since the mid-nineteenth century. Evidentally one teacher attempting to deliver high quality education to large mixed-ability classes attended by students with a diverse range of individual needs is far from ideal. Education works and can be high quality only when it is tailored to the specific and individual needs of the student. Small classes taught by highly qualified and motivated teachers ensure that critical and productive student/teacher relationships can form. Technologies facilitate the individualised teaching approach and make it available to students worldwide.

I am immensely proud of Cambridge Home School Online. Hi. I’m Mrs Hodgskin – a Computer Science teacher here at Cambridge Home School. I’ve been obsessed with computers since I was a girl, but it wasn’t until I built my first website about 15 years ago that I truly found my purpose. Learning HTML and CSS sparked my interest, and when I started learning Python, I got completely hooked! Since then, I’ve built a few computers from scratch and even competed with my family in Raspberry Pi’s Pi Wars, where we proudly came second in the beginners’ category.

I became a teacher because I’m passionate about showing everyone, especially girls, that computing is for them. If I can inspire even one student to discover how exciting and creative the world of computing can be, that makes my day.

My name is Mrs Healey and I live in Cheshire with my husband, son and two Spanish rescue dogs. I worked as a Head of Music for several years and am an examiner for GCSE Music. I have written music for TV and write school musicals too. I moved to teaching Music and Maths online in 2023. In my spare time I enjoy travelling and running.

Hello! I’m Miss Wright and I’m a History teacher at Cambridge Home School. I live in East Yorkshire in a historic market town with my partner, children and my dog. I have had a passion for History since the age of 10 when I visited Burton Agnes Hall with school which sparked a fascination with History. Following my A-Levels I gained an undergraduate degree in Education Studies and History from the University of Durham. Following on from that I gained a Masters Degree from the University of Durham in Education Studies and wrote my thesis on the education of Queen Elizabeth I. I then gained a PGCE from the University of Warwick.

I have held a number of different roles in my 13 year teaching career as Head of History, Lead Practitioner for Humanities and Whole School Literacy Lead. I have also been an examiner for GCSE and A-Level History. I am passionate about History and spend as much time as possible reading and researching different historical topics. I can’t wait to share my passion and knowledge with you all.

In my spare time I love reading (mainly History books) and collecting books, I have approximately 600 books and 95% are History books and range in topics from Ancient to Modern History. I am always happy to make recommendations if people have an interest in a particular topic. Other than reading and collecting books I enjoy watching tennis, baking, jigsaws, puzzles, craft and walking my dog.

I’ve been lucky to spend the last 23 years teaching students of all ages across the UK and abroad, including primary, secondary, and adult learners, as well as working with corporate teams. I’ve taught in both classrooms and online, which has helped me adapt my approach to suit the needs of different learners.

Teaching is something I’m really passionate about. I believe that creating an engaging and positive environment is key to helping students feel confident and motivated to reach their goals. Building strong relationships with my students is also essential in supporting their success.

I have extensive experience helping students prepare for GCSEs and A-Levels, and I’m well-versed in the requirements of exam boards like OCR, Cambridge, and AQA. This allows me to provide tailored support that ensures students feel confident and fully prepared for their exams.

When I’m not teaching, I love to travel—it gives me new ideas and inspiration for my lessons. I also enjoy spending time with my family and dog, cooking up new recipes, and finding peace by the sea!
