Online Schooling in Wales
Recognised for its focus on quality education, Wales is home to thousands of motivated, qualified, and keen students. At Cambridge Home School Online, we couldn’t be more proud of our Welsh students.
Since our inception in 2002, we have been providing a quality British online education to students living in Wales. Today, we teach hundreds of Welsh students across four homeschooling programs: Primary Prep/Key Stage 2 (ages 8–10), Lower School/Key Stage 3 (ages 11–13), Upper School/IGCSEs (ages 14–16), and Sixth Form/AS & A-Levels (ages 17–19).
In recent years, online schooling has started gaining traction in Wales. Compared to conventional schooling, virtual learning is a lot more safe, convenient, and effective. Let’s take a closer look at why Cambridge Home School Online is a great decision for your children.
Cambridge Home School’s global online learning program allows the British international school in Wales to reach students, no matter where they are located. With our online learning platform, students worldwide can learn and develop their literacy, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills with us.
Your child will be working, learning, and studying with children of their own age from around the world and connect with teachers that can help them out in their educational pursuits. Our online curriculum and the latest technology help us connect with students and teachers from different parts of the world, including Wales, for an enhanced and enriched learning experience.

MA/MSc/PhD Qualified Teachers Growth
As an institution, we have a singular focus on academic excellence. We boast a team of MA/MSc/PhD qualified subject specialist teachers who deliver focused lessons to small groups of 8–10 students. By maintaining a low teacher-student ratio, we ensure that every pupil receives individualised attention from their teachers.
This is imperative. In most conventional schools, as many as 30 students are grouped together in a single classroom. There are simply too many students in class, so teachers cannot actively, attentively, and assiduously engage with each pupil. They fail to determine each student’s learning weaknesses and strengths. This prevents them from using an individualised approach to help students succeed on an individual level.
Read MoreWhile the class may collectively perform well, students aren’t given the opportunity to achieve their true potential and shine. At CHS Online, we believe in equipping every student with the academic tools, guidance, and support they require to achieve top grades. Not only do we keep the classroom size manageable, but we also plan numerous in-class activities, games, and presentations to stimulate greater interest in the lessons. Using these additional approaches, we make it easier for students to grasp complex topics and subtopics.
This approach is particularly important for young students who have a shorter attention span. By using cutting-edge audio-visual learning components, we help young students remain engrossed in their lessons. They absorb and retain more knowledge. Our students are strong learners and even better performers.
Our focus on academic growth has helped us sustain an impressive track record. In June 2021, 86% of our IGCSE students secured A*s and As in their target subjects. 83% of our A Level students secured two As and a B or higher, as requested by top universities. Moreover, all students who applied received offers from some of the best universities across the globe. We’re excited to help our Welsh students continue this streak and perform even better, making their parents and our teachers immensely proud.
Student Mental Health
Students face a range of complex problems today, including bullying, peer pressure, discrimination, favouritism, stress, and anxiety, among countless others. While they must be provided excellent academic support, they must also receive pastoral support.
At CHS Online, we provide one-on-one success coaching and school counselling to every student. We understand that students of all ages can fall victim to everyday problems. If these issues aren’t recognised and promptly addressed, they may snowball and create academic, personal, or social disruption.
Read MoreIn some cases, students start getting distracted in school, which affects their grades. In other cases, students become withdrawn, which affects their social life. They may also begin to doubt themselves and develop a negative sense of self. We’re committed to providing each student the support and guidance they need to stay on track.
Students enjoy a healthy school-life balance at Cambridge Home School Online. They aren’t overworked or overburdened with more than they’re capable of handling. We believe in helping students perform to their full potential, not pushing them to unhealthy limits.
In most conventional schools, students end up feeling burnt out because of the enormous academic burden they carry. This backfires. Instead of performing better, students begin to underperform. We’re very careful about this fine line. While our students secure excellent grades, they also enjoy ample flexibility. This enables them to enjoy their favourite hobbies, develop new interests, have fun withfriends, play sports, spend quality time with family, develop new skills, and so on.
While we double down on academic progress, we also double down on personal and social development. The outcome? Holistic growth. Our students become happy, healthy, motivated, and balanced individuals. They take a genuine interest in their lessons, complete their homework on time, revise regularly, actualise immense self-development, and keep their social growth on track.
We shoulder the responsibility of helping students strike this balance. We also help them develop a range of soft and hard skills so they canexcel as they pursue a higher education and start a career in the future.
