Celebrated for its beautiful archaeological and religious sites like the Dead Sea, Jerash, Petra, and Wadi Rum (to name a few), Jordan is considered the most kaleidoscopic country in Western Asia. Beyond its impressive attractions, Jordan also enjoys an excellent education system, a growing market economy, and a passion for hospitality.
Jordanians are known for welcoming tourists and travellers with open arms, inviting them into their restaurants and open spaces, and discussing the country’s history, art, culture, and traditions at length. The country is recognised for its friendly locals and serene charm.
If you live in Jordan with your family, you may have a strong focus on your children’s education. Most Jordanian parents are committed to providing an excellent quality of education to their children.
At Cambridge Home School Online, we wish to help them achieve this goal. Established in 2002, we have over 20 years of experience in providing a quality British online education to students living across Jordan, including Amman, Irbid, Zarqa, Al-Mafraq, Russeifa, Aqaba, Al Quwaysimah, Sahab, Ar-Ramtha, Sweileh, Ajloun, Al Jizah, and several other neighbourhoods.
We offer four competitive homeschooling programs: Primary Prep/Key Stage 2 (ages 7 to 10), Lower School/Key Stage 3 (ages 11 to 13), Upper School/IGCSEs (ages 14 to 16), and Sixth Form/AS & A-Levels (ages 17 to 19). Below, find some more insights into online schooling, our unique approach, and our focus on academic excellence. By the end of it, you’ll be able to make an informed decision for your children’s future and success.

The Online Schooling Model in Sharjah
Parents are increasingly accepting the online learning model across the Middle East, especially in Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Cyprus, and Jordan. This has been a particularly easy choice for parents living in Jordan due to the high school bullying rate across the country.
According to a report published in Sage Journals, students between the ages of 12 and 17 are at a greater risk of being bullied across Jordan. Another report (click here) closely analysed the effects of school bullying on academic performance in Jordan. The results have been astonishing.
Read MoreOver the years, they’re compelled Jordanian parents to consider homeschooling their children to hide their children from the underbelly of the conventional schooling system. Not only are students bullied, but they’re also harassed, abused, and ostracised.
At Cambridge Home School Online, we create a safe learning environment for our students. They attend classes in small sessions of 8–10 pupils. Since students attend their lessons from the comfort and safety of their homes, the risk of school bullying—as it would occur conventionally—is eliminated.
Our MA/MSc/PhD qualified subject specialist teachers carefully and assiduously moderate each class to ensure that there’s no form of peer pressure involved. Students learn, laugh, and interact in a healthy, intellectually stimulating, and wholesome class environment.
In addition to prioritising student safety and well-being, we also prioritise academic growth. In June 2021, 86% of our IGCSE students secured A*s and As in their target subjects. 83% of our A Level students secured two As and a B or higher, as requested by top universities. Moreover, all students who applied received offers from some of the best universities across the globe. By equipping our Jordanian students with the academic, personal, and social tools they need to succeed, we ensure that they enjoy incredible success at and beyond our institution.
Our track record is indicative of our focus on helping students grow academically. Online learning is also gaining traction in Jordan because of its flexibility. Students aren’t forced to sit through protracted lessons and return home feeling burned out. The online schooling pace is more natural, well-balanced, and controlled. Pupils receive focused lessons and perform exceptionally well in school (as highlighted above).
Student mental health is also preserved. Our pupils don’t feel overworked, stressed, or anxious at school. If any of these feelings creep in, our school counsellors empathetically speak with students to understand their struggles and help them get back on track. We provide one-on-one success coaching and pastoral support to every student.
Cambridge Home School Online’s Teaching Style
Our esteemed MA/MSc/PhD qualified teachers deliver engaging, retentive, and well-structured lessons that help students gain an academic edge and progress exceptionally well from one academic stage to another. We also keep our classroom size particularly low. Each group comprises 8–10 pupils, no more.
This decision is very intentional. We want to ensure that every child has an individualised learning experience.
Read MoreIn most conventional schools across Jordan, as many as 25 or even 30 students are taught by a single teacher in a single classroom. There are simply too many students present in class for the teacher to provide one-on-one attention to each of them.
By lowering the student-teacher ratio, we ensure that our students receive the care, attention, guidance, and support they need from their teachers at all times. If a student has a question, their teachers promptly answer it. The student-teacher bond is strengthened and maintained throughout the schooling year.
We also provide students with access to a vast online library of educational resources like videos, presentations, catch-up lessons, quizzes, past papers, study guides, and a range of other tools. Students can utilise these resources after school hours to study, revise, and complete their homework. This approach helps us prevent breaks in the learning process. Students can continue to revise new topics they just learned in school.
