Online Schooling in China

As China starts embracing the virtual learning model, many students and parents are making the switch to online schooling. Compared to conventional schooling, online schooling offers greater flexibility and safety. It also significantly improves learning outcomes as students are taught focused, individualised lessons in smaller classrooms.

The large majority of conventional schools in China have alarmingly overcrowded classes. In many cases, as many as 25 or even 30 students are taught in a single classroom. This affects academic growth in students. Teachers are unable to provide one-on-one attention to each student, which reduces knowledge absorption and retention. Students struggle to pay attention in class and perform poorly on their examinations.

Helping Students Excel

At Cambridge Home School Online, we have an excellent track record. In June 2021, 86% of our IGCSE students secured A*s and As in their target subjects. 83% of our A Level students secured two As and a B or higher, as requested by top universities. Moreover, all students who applied received offers from some of the best universities across the globe. We attribute the success of our students to their own hard work and the commitment of our teachers.

We have a team of MA/MSc/PhD qualified subject specialist teachers on board. Committed to helping students succeed, they plan engaging, stimulating, and retentive lessons. Each student is carefully reeled into the lesson and their attention is retained until the very end. This approach yields a lot of benefits. For starters, students remain focused during the entirety of the class. They’re not distracted, which is common in most conventional schools.

Enhanced Flexibility

As stated earlier, online schooling offers enhanced flexibility. Students enjoy a healthy school-life balanced, which is unfortunately never reinforced in most conventional schools. The online schooling structure is optimal for academic growth, personal enrichment, and social development. Students aren’t overworked. They don’t return home feeling overwhelmed, fatigued, and wiped out.

Since their classes are well-timed, they don’t spend protracted hours at school. This helps cut down on the levels of exhaustion that school-going children experience in China. Students retain their energy and utilise it for sports, extracurricular activities, and skill-building exercises. The learning process never stops. Both academic and non-academic growth are prioritised and ensured.

We also provide one-on-one pastoral support and success coaching to our students. We understand that students face a range of pressures and obstacles today. These must be acknowledged and carefully understood by teachers, parents, education specialists, and school counsellors.

We work closely with each student and help them overcome these hurdles. Stress, anxiety, and uncertainty are common among school-going students. Unfortunately, these often start at a young age. Children as young as 8 can feel stressed if they’re placed in the wrong learning environment. Our online classes are empathy-based. Students aren’t pushed beyond their limits. As a result, academic stress is significantly reduced.
