In June 2021, parents chased and grabbed a 15-year-old boy who had been bullying their son (Glasgow Times). A 13-year-old student was also forced to change schools after school bullies set up fake pages to mock and threaten him (Daily Mail). Unfortunately, these aren’t isolated incidents. The rate of school bullying, harassment, abuse, ostracisation, and peer pressure has increased significantly across Glasgow.  

Today, more and more parents are switching to online schooling owing to its safety. Students can attend a quality British education from the comfort and safety of their homes. At Cambridge Home School Online, we create a safe learning environment for our students. Our MA/MSc/PhD qualified subject specialist teachers carefully and assiduously moderate each class to ensure students learn in a healthy, wholesome, stress-free, and intellectually stimulating class environment.

Our teachers promptly identify even the subtlest signs of classroom bullying and remove the perpetrators from the online session. This helps keep students safe and protected. As an institution, we take disciplinary action against any bullies. Their parents are informed promptly, and a meeting is scheduled at the earliest. Moreover, our school counsellors work closely with each child to help them understand the importance of being respectful, understanding and accepting of other students. This approach plays a big role in helping students learn better.

In addition to prioritising student safety and well-being, we also prioritise academic growth. In June 2021, 86% of our IGCSE students secured A*s and As in their target subjects. 83% of our A Level students secured two As and a B or higher, as requested by top universities. Moreover, all students who applied received offers from some of the best universities across the globe. By equipping our Glaswegian students with the academic, personal, and social tools they need to succeed, we ensure that they enjoy incredible success at and beyond our institution.

Our track record is indicative of our focus on helping students grow academically. Online learning is also gaining traction in Glasgow owing to its flexibility. Students aren’t forced to sit through protracted lessons. The online schooling pace is more natural, well-balanced, and controlled. Pupils receive focused lessons and perform exceptionally well in school (as highlighted above). They don’t return home feeling fatigued, overwhelmed, and burned out. Instead, they retain their energy and mental sharpness.

As they kick-start afterschool activities, students perform their best. Whether they’re playing sports, exploring new hobbies and interests, socialising with their friends, going on family trips, doing volunteer work, or developing new skills, our students remain alert and focused. They grow in numerous facets of life: academically, personally, socially, morally, and ethically.

We also provide one-on-one success coaching and pastoral support to every student. This helps us ensure that our students are on track at all times. If they’re struggling with anything, they’re provided with the support and guidance they need to get back on track.
