Understanding the
Admissions Process

You can enrol your child in one of our four homeschooling programs: Primary Prep/Key Stage 2 (ages 7–10), Lower School/Key Stage 3 (ages 11–13), Upper School/IGCSEs (ages 14–16), and Sixth Form/AS & A-Levels (ages 17–19). You can rest assured that your child will receive a world-class education from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable MA/MSc/PhD qualified teachers across the globe.

The admissions process at CHS is fairly straightforward, simple, hassle-free, and direct. Please be informed that our school is nearly always full. We don’t want you to be disappointed if you apply late and fail to secure a place for your child. Increase your child’s chances of enrolment by planning in advance and submitting their application as early as you can. Presently, our waiting list has several children who won’t start studying with us for another two years. Parents are increasingly taking a head start to increase their chances of providing a quality online British education to their children. Please follow suit and submit an early application.

Waiting List

Since we have only a handful of school places available, parents often wait for a considerable amount of time before they qualify for consideration by our Headmaster. If you want your child to join CHS in a year or perhaps in two years, this is an ideal situation for you. Maybe your child is too young to attend online school at the moment. In this case, you will be on our waiting list and won’t face any inconvenience. You can easily join our waiting list by completing our registration form and choosing the “add to the waiting list” option. There is no fee for this.

Enhanced Application

Students can also submit a personal statement to Cambridge Home School Online’s Headmaster, Dr. Page. Please email dr.page@chsonline.org.uk with the personal statement attached. For each personal statement, there is an administration fee of £299 (non-refundable). You can click here to make your payment.

Since our school places are so few in number, a passionate, thoughtful, well-written, and earnest personal statement will go a long way in increasing your chances of enrolment. Please discuss why you wish to attend Cambridge Home School Online. Additionally, please help us understand why you think you’d be the right candidate for our online school.

When combined with an outstanding personal statement, good grades will further increase your chances of attending CHS. We need evidence of your grades, which can be either a recent school report or an official grades transcript.

Late Joiner Policy

At Cambridge Home School Online, students generally begin school in September. If they join late, a significant amount of disruption may be caused to other pupils and teachers. The learning process may also be affected. We generally don’t allow students to join the school after a certain point in the academic year. However, we are open to accepting late joiners under exceptional circumstances.

In such cases, we require parents to demonstrate their commitment to their child’s education and the school. You will be required to pay the school fees for the remainder of the school terms and the coming academic year. We hope you understand our focus on providing quality education to our students with no disruption.
